Construction Administration

Services during the construction phase include site visits to observe progress and quality of construction and conformance to contract documents, review of shop drawings, and verification of work completed. It is our opinion that involvement by the Structural Engineer of Record (SER) in the CA Phase is essential to the proper interpretation of the design and to assure that the quality the Owner is paying for is inherent to the finished project. Also, with the SER on site, contract document interpretations or mitigation of construction discrepancies can often be dealt with almost immediately, thus minimizing the impact on schedule and cost.
